What is the Las Vegas CityCenter?
The CityCenter in Las Vegas is a near 11 billion dollar work of art consisting of a hotel casino resort, high rise condos, convention center, an enormous theater, and more! It is the most expensive privately funded project in the United States so far. Simply put, it is a City within a City! MGM Mirage and Dubai World are the two big players in its creation. Also, you have to give credit to architect Cesar Pelli whose work has been seen globally. The Twin Towers in Malaysia, and the late World Trade Center was another building designed in part by Cesar Pelli. The location of the City Center is right on Las Vegas Boulevard. Where is at specifically? It is located between Monte Carlo and the Bellagio hotel.
What Are The Main Attractions?
Well, if the reflective light blue and white mirrored shimmering windows are not enough to catch your watchful eye then stay tuned! CityCenter is such a unique attraction that is literally a City within a city. For one, it houses its own fire station. The shopping, architect, and top entertainers will all intrigue even the average Vegas enthusiast. The luxury condos are simply breath-taking especially the Mandarin in particular. Also, a state-of-the-art tram with huge doors will take you around for better glimpses, accommodations, as well as give you a feeling of luxury.
Is CityCenter Really Worth Seeing?
I will give you a resounding YES! Cesar Pelli’s work once again does not get under minded with this amazing piece of work. The reflective and shimmering buildings are simply eye-catching. What else? Well, you will need to hop on the tram and take the tour around a very gorgeous view of Las Vegas. You won’t see the entire strip, but you will be fascinated! Remember, the CityCenter is a close 11 billion dollar creation on 76 acres. In other words, you will see a lot of amazing landscape, artwork, and design both inside and out in this amazing city within a city. So, when you’re considering your Las Vegas hotel accommodations look into staying within the CityCenter. At least consider staying nearby at another fine MGM hotel in order to take advantage of CityCenter’s accommodations as well as its amazing attractions! See you in Las Vegas!
